Il relie les villes de Tacoma et Gig Harbor dans l'État de Washington aux États-Unis. Le premier pont, inauguré le 1er juillet 1940, s'est effondré le 7 novembre 1940, constituant un des plus célèbres accidents de génie civil.<br /><br />Un deuxième pont, ouvert en 1950, est toujours en service.
